Excited!

I am so excited! A little nervous, lots of butterflys.
I am starting clinicals tomorrow! I am more nervous about the paperwork than anything else. We have tons of paper work that we have to fill out every day. Tomorrow I will not really be doing very much patient care. Just getting oriented to the hospital and  introducing myself to the patients. 

It is my prayer that God would use me, in any way that he wants. I want to be able to be a comfort, help, instiller of hope...useful, and an awesome testimony of what Jesus Christ has done for me.

God is so good...

    I had a friend years ago who went through the nursing program you're in. I used to type her stuff for her when she was in a pinch. Yes, I said "type". I had a typewriter. She didn't. Nobody but the richest of folks had PC's yet.

Turning over a new leaf

So, when I got a gym membership about 10 months ago I agreed with my husband that I should be working out about 3 times a week to make my gym membership financially worth it. I was doing really good until about 2 months ago. I think that finals, along with getting a new job, new schedule, and my own laziness has really got in the way. Lately I have been lucky if I make it to the gym 2 times a week... The interesting thing is that I am finally at a place in my life where I am comfortable in my own skin. I have learned to finally embrace the way God made me and realize that no matter what my outer appearance looks like the true beauty comes from a heart after God. Something that makes me mad.

I hate it when Christians hide behind "religious freedom" to spread hate. I was reading about the new law Arizona passed that would enable Business owners to be able to with hold their services from certain individuals in order to "protect themselves from a lifestyle they oppose". Quote taken from this article,  http://www.allgov.com/news/top-stories/arizona-legislature-passes-bill-allowing-businesses-to-discriminate-against-gays-140225?news=852529.  What the hell?!?! I think the general public needs to be protected from Christians who use Jesus's name to spew hatred. If they truly wanted to represent Jesus they would not only serve the people, but they would invite them into their home (gasp) for a meal.
